The flu season got off to a slow start but it’s starting to pick up, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC says the flu is circulating in all 50 states and widespread in 37. Pediatric deaths from flu tripled in the past month, jumping from 10 early in January to 30 by February 6th. Children’s deaths have been reported in 18 states. The CDC says it’s still not too late to get a flu shot and recommends anyone 6 months of age and older get one as soon as possible.
