Got Questions? Yakima Council Member Holds Thursday Forum
Yakima City Council members like to hear from local residents about concerns they have about the city and a city council member is hoping to hear about the concerns during a forum in Yakima on Thursday.
The forum is set for Thursday night
Yakima City Council member Patricia Byers is hosting the community forum Thursday, December 1 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Chuck Austin Place, 1630 South 16th Avenue, in the facility’s Flex Room. The forum is open to everyone but especially those who live in District 3 which she represents. She says she looks forward to hearing from people about a variety of issues including public safety, traffic, road construction and economic development. “The forum will provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions and provide feedback,” says Byers. “It will give people a chance to bring up issues and to learn more about what the Council and the City are working on now and what kinds of things should be focused on moving forward.”
If Byers can't answer your question city staff will be there as well
Byers says city staff members will be at the forum to address questions that might come up and to provide information on specific City projects and policies.
City council members hold the forums throughout the year to connect with local residents and the people they represent.
This will be the second community forum hosted by a Yakima City Council member in the past two months. Council member Matt Brown (District 6) held a forum at the Harman Center on September 22nd.
