Senske and Santa Help Save Christmas [PHOTO]

What a sad looking tree, right? I've received lots of notes from folks who have driven by this tree and asked me to fix it (I'm the Mayor, you know). Senske has already put up new lights and now its time for all of us to help out! 

It's time for the community to help decorate Yakima's official Christmas tree, set up on 3rd Street between Yakima Ave and Chestnut. Why is it so bereft of Christmas spirit, you ask? That’s because you haven't come by to add any decorations, of course! On Wednesday Dec. 14th from 4PM to 6PM we are inviting you down to the Millennium Plaza on 3rd Street to help spruce up (no pun intended) the downtown Christmas tree.

Bring down a Christmas ornament and we will hang it on our town’s tree. 92.9 The Bull will be serving hot chocolate and playing music as we come together at what I hope will be an annual community Christmas tree decorating hootenanny. Santa Clauss, Christmas Carolers, and the Yakima Fire Department are also going to join in the fun. So saddle up the family and join us right in front of the Capitol Theatre on Wed December 14th from 4PM to 6PM as we save Christmas in Yakima, one ornament at a time.
