Hole-in-the-wall places are always fun in any place you go. Sure, there are the tried and true established places in any town, but fun to find these hidden gems in town that have amazing food and service and you just can't wait to share with everything how amazing they are.

LoveFood listed their best hole-in-the-wall restaurants for each state to let you know that while everyone else is enjoying meals from national chain restaurants (and there's nothing wrong with that) there are some places that you may not consider or if you blink you'll drive right past it.

Seattle has several hole-in-the-wall places but the one that LoveFood mentioned serves, of all things, BBQ.

Best Hole in the Wall Restaurant in Washington

The good people at LoveFood award this hole-in-the-wall place in Seattle to a place called Hole-in-the-Wall BBQ.

Yeah, it's a little on the nose.

I mean, it tells the story of who they are and what they serve so it takes that guesswork out of the equation.

Pacific Northwest Not Known for BBQ

It took me traveling to other areas of the United States to get used to proper barbecue. Growing up I thought it was just a flavor of potato chip or a sauce that you put on things. In other parts of the country it's an artform and lifestyle that people take great pride in.

Fortunately, there are some who travel from those places and bring it back to the Northwest for us to try for ourselves. And bless them for it.

This place has been around for quite a while, too. Since 1989 bringing amazing BBQ to Seattle and its people.

Next time you find yourself in Seattle, maybe stop by to see why Seattle has been keeping this place open for over 35 years.
