
Man Arrested for Vandalizing Vehicle at Yakima’s McGuire’s Irish Pub
A man faces charges for losing control in an angry incident on Saturday.
THE SUSPECT FACE CHARGES
According to court papers from the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office, Yakima Police arrested the man for heavily damaging a vehicle at a local pub on Saturday night. When Officers arrived they found Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot that belonged to a bartender at McGuire's Irish Pub at 4807 Tieton Drive.
DAMAGE IS PEGGED AT $5,000
The victim told police he was inside working when the vandalism to his vehicle happened at about 7:45 pm Saturday. Police say all 4 tires were slashed and windows were either damaged or broken out. Scratches and dents cover the hood and sides of the vehicle. Damage is estimated at $5,000.

A FORMER ROOMMATE
The victim told police he recognized the suspect in a video taken by people in the parking lot saying he believed the suspect was a former roommate. But he told Officers he didn't know why the man damaged his vehicle.
THE SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED
The suspect was identified and stopped by police a short time later and arrested on a charge of malicious mischief. Police say they found a large pipe and a folding knife on the passenger seat of the suspect vehicle which was also a Jeep Cherokee. Authorities say they also found alcohol in the vehicle as well. We don't know if the suspect was booked into the Yakima County jail. No injuries were reported and police aren't saying if there was a clear reason as to why the damage was done.
The investigation continues today.
