If you're driving to the west side of Washington state why not take the scenic route? You'll be able to enjoy stunning scenery of Mount Rainier National Park. That's because two key routes are now open just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

YOU'LL BE DRIVING NEAR THE SUMMIT

According to a press release drivers can now access State Route 410 (Chinook Pass) between Crystal Mountain Boulevard, located about 12 miles northwest of the summit, and Morse Creek, five miles east of the summit. Additionally, SR 123 (Cayuse Pass) is open within the park boundaries, connecting Stevens Canyon Road with the SR 410 junction.
Park officials remind everyone that all commercial vehicles are prohibited from traveling through Mount Rainier National Park, including sections of SR 123 and SR 410.
