The Yakima Valley will be a haven for wine lovers next month during the annual Spring Barrel Tasting event, happening from April 25-27 at over 30 local wineries.

YOU CONTROL THE DAY SO DON'T FORGET YOUR WINE GLASS

If you attend don't forget to bring their own wine glass and consider finding a designated driver for the festivities. John Cooper, President & CEO of Yakima Valley Tourism, calls it a unique experience: “Many of the winemakers will pull tastes straight from the barrel, giving you a sneak peek at how their young vintages may mature.”

NOT JUST GREAT WINE TO TASTE

In addition to sampling fine wines, you can enjoy a variety of tasting, pairing, and educational experiences that provide insight into the winemaking process. You'll also be able to purchase wine from the many wineries for your upcoming spring and summer gatherings. Some wineries may offer wines that are not yet officially bottled for purchase.
Many wineries will also feature food vendors, live entertainment, and activities to enhance the experience. Expect large crowds so plan your weekend.

NO PASSPORTS OR TICKETS NEEDED

While there is no required passport or ticket for the event, some wineries may charge tasting fees or for wine glasses. For more information and a list of participating wineries, visit www.visityakima.com. Don't miss out on this chance to taste the future of Yakima Valley wines!
