Yakima's State Fair Park will be a busy place this weekend with hundreds of cars on display during the annual Vintiques National Car Show. This year's show is set for August 3-6 at Yakima's State Fair Park. The annual gathering of Vintiques draws members from throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

HUNDREDS OF BEAUTIFUL CARS IN THE PARK AND THE YAKIMA SUNDOME

More than 600 custom and muscle cars and vendors are rolling into the valley during the week with thousands of people expected to attend the show. Most of the cars are on display for show but some are for sale. The show also offers a chance for those who are building cars to get needed rare parts that can't be found anywhere else at the annual Vintiques Swap Meet.

ALL THOSE PEOPLE MEAN TO A BIG BOOST TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY

The show is more than just a static show. Lots of events for members happen through the weekend but also for the public as well. On Friday night it's Hot Rod Races under the lights at Renegade Raceway. It's the second largest event held at the fairgrounds and brings in over $1,000,000 of tourist money into the community over it's 4 day run.
A press release says the Vintiques are a non profit charitable organization in Yakima promoting the car collector hobby and raising money for organizations such as Children's Wishes and Dreams and Rods house.

THE FIRST GATHERING OF CARS HAPPENS THURSDAY EVENING

A big gathering of cars happens Thursday night at the Sea Galley restaurant in Union Gap starting at 6:00 pm.
The annual Vintiques National Car Show is open to the public at Yakima's State Fair Park. The show will be held from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday and 8:00 am  to 6:00 pm on Saturday.

Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
