Laws are put in place for a reason. If a law exists it's probably because someone did something so insane that they had to make a ruling of it not happening ever again. Then there are the extremes that were probably put in place long ago that nobody remembers why the law exists in the first place. Ever state has some pretty weird laws that have us scratching our head wondering why they are still around. Here are some good ones that you're probably breaking right now and don't even realize it.

You're not allowed to buy meat on Sunday.

If two trains meet at a crossing, one has to pass before the other can go.

You're not allowed to harass Bigfoot.

No person may walk about in public if he or she has the common cold.

X-rays may not be used to fit shoes.

All lollipops are banned.

You can't spit on a bus.

People may not buy a mattress on Sunday.

It is illegal to pretend that one’s parents are rich.

You're not allowed to sleep in someone else's outhouse without their consent.

And, just for fun, here's a few laws that are specific to different cities in Washington state.

In Seattle, You may not carry a concealed weapon that is over six feet in length.
In Lynden, you can drink and dance, just not at the same place.
In Spokane, No one may kneel on a pedestrian skywalk.
In Bremerton, you can't shuck peanuts on the street.
In Wilbur, You may not ride an ugly horse.
