THE LATEST HOT TOWN GOSSIP IN YAKIMA
It’s the talk of the town: my friends at work have been chatting about it and some of my besties have been asking me if I’ve heard about it, too. Yes, actually, I’ve heard of the Paranormal Cirque act because I know people in other states who have had this event in their town, and now I’m hearing about it on my radio. I’ve heard that it’s adults-only show that combines "theatre, circus, and cabaret with a new European style flare for a MATURE audience", meaning NO KIDS UNDER 13!
I hate to admit this truth, but intriguing adults-only stuff like this doesn’t come around here often. Thankfully, we are blessed to have the Edge Series from the Capitol Theater (disclaimer, I’m a board member), but even before I became a board member, I have loved plays, shows, and other assorted entertainment that’s not your typical sort. I cannot wait to see Paranormal Cirque when it comes to Yakima this month!
Does anyone besides me remember when Avenue Q came to Yakima a decade or so ago? That play was my JAM! I had never seen anything refreshingly original like it before. Come to think of it, I really haven’t been awe-struck over anything around here since I saw Dixie’s Tupperware Party.
WHAT THE BLEEP IS PARANORMAL CIRQUE?
Think ‘Cirque du Soleil’ meets ‘Saw’ movie, meets ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, meets Moulin Rouge type of sh*t. At least, that’s what I’m imagining it will be like. I refuse to watch the trailers for Paranormal Cirque on YouTube because I don’t want any spoilers. https://www.paranormalcirque.com/
SPOILER ALERT:
If you aren’t able to make the Yakima tour, Paranormal Cirque will also be in Kennewick (August 3-7) and Walla Walla (August 11-14).
Purchase tickets to the Yakima showing of Paranormal Cirque HERE. You can also enter to win a pair of tickets to this ADULTS-ONLY show in the entry form below. You must be 18+ to win. No exceptions. So that means even if you are 17 years old right now but you’ll be turning 18 after August 14th, so sorry but you will not qualify to win this prize!
Children ages 13-17 who have a parent or guardian who is brave enough willing to let them go to this show will have to show I.D. to get in.
