A visit to Prosser should be on your bucket list this summer, including seeing an event at the town's historic Princess Theatre on Meade Avenue.

Three Big Reasons to Visit Prosser, Washington

Besides the Scottish Fest & Highland Games, there are two other major draws for most people: the Hot Air Balloon Rally and the Princess Theatre. Crafty geeks like me also love going to Prosser to stop by the two quilt shops in town, The Sewing Basket (1108 Wine Country Rd) and the new one that just opened up, Mimsy’s Fabric and Notions (1120A Meade Ave).

Look at this cute sign I spotted in front of the theatre when I went to see comedian Travis Sheer with some friends from the Lower Valley:

The Princess Theatre has been around since the 1920s! Catch an upcoming show this summer and fall or see some of the funny stand-up comedians that swing through town. i think it's a hidden gem because a lot of people like me who live in Yakima think it's too far away to visit, but it's not really, when you think about it; it's just a few more miles down the road from Sunnyside and Granger!

Another place to see stand-up comedy in the Valley is at Bill's Place every Tuesday night, hosted by local legend Bahiyyih Mudd, and I've also heard somebody is doing a comedy night out in Toppenish. (If you have deets on that, please shoot me a message so I can help spread the word.)
