Quilting, crocheting, and fiber arts are making a huge comeback as of late and the Yakima Valley Quilters' Guild is having a huge trunk sale this Saturday. If this is your jam, you're going to be in heaven.

2025 Yakima Valley Quilters Guild Treasure Trunk and Yard Sale

Each year the Guild's volunteers donate huge boxes of fabric and other items for the public to buy. There will be lots of treasures and you never know what you're going to find.

You could see premium vintage fabrics that may have been collected from an estate sale to surplus fabrics that local quilters and sewists have added hoping to clear out some of their fabric stashes.

The treasure trunk and yard sale this year will include fabrics, sewing/quilting notions, rulers, quilt kits, sewing projects, and a raffle quilt. If you are lucky, you might even find a quilt or two that has been handed down through generations looking for a new home.

The event is Saturday, August 23rd, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Christ Lutheran Church (5606 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima). Whatever is left in the yard sale after 12 p.m. that day will be 50% off, but they expect a huge crowd this year so get there early. Bring cash just in case there aren't vendors taking debit/credit cards!

INSIDERS TIP: The Yakima Valley Quilters' Guild is hosting a huge Quilt Show in May 2026 at the Yakima Convention Center and tickets for that will go on sale soon. I joined the quilt guild not long ago and I love it! I somehow got myself roped in as the publicity chair, full disclaimer.
