Jake Owen is heading back to his hometown for an important cause. The "Down to the Honky Tonk" singer has announced that he'll be hosting his ninth benefit concert in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla., to raise money for his charitable organization, the Jake Owen Foundation.

The two-day event, titled the Jake Owen Homemade Weekend, will take place Nov. 1-2 and include a special acoustic concert featuring Owen and music icon Jimmy Buffett, along with Owen's annual golf tournament and a silent auction. Newcomer Matt Stell will also perform during the acoustic show, as will several of Owen's songwriter friends, including industry titan Craig Wiseman (Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" and Blake Shelton's "Boys Round Here"), longtime George Strait collaborator Dean Dillon, Mac McAnally (who's scored cuts by Buffett and Ronnie Dunn), Scotty Emerick (who's behind several of Toby Keith's hits) and Real Country contestant Larry Fleet.

“The Jake Owen Foundation is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever been involved with. What matters is, the kind of person you are. Your character, your legacy," Owen says in a statement. "Giving back has always been important to me in everything I do.”

Owen launched his nonprofit in 2010 to aid local charities in his home region, with a focus on youth programs, education, crisis care and more. It's raised more than $1.6 million, benefiting local organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Indian River County and The Scott Center for Autism Treatment, along with national establishments St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
