Yakima County Development Association and the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce say the deadline to register is for the Enterprise Challenge is Tuesday, January 4. You can sign up today at chooseyakimavalley.com
The 2022 Enterprise Challenge is an annual competition that helps entrepreneurs build a business plan through workshops and one-on-one help sessions led by industry professionals that help develop a business plan.
At the end of the competition, the third place winner receives $2,500, second place receives $5,000, and first place winner gets $10,000 to be used towards their business venture.

Registration is $200 but officials say the value of the training is worth much more

The Enterprise Challenge registration fee is $200 per business. To qualify, contestants must be 18 years or older, be located in Yakima or Kittitas County, and have a new business idea or business under two years old to compete.
More than 225 entrepreneurs have competed in the contest since its inception and many of them have gone on to start their businesses in the community.
The 2022 competition runs from January 6, 2022 through March 15, 2022. Yakima County Development Association officails says "if state or federal COVID-19 restrictions necessitates limited in-person contact, organizers will update contestants on any schedule adjustments."
