Old Spaghetti Factory is a Must-Eat Place We Need in Yakima
It wasn't all the time, but many of us who would visit Seattle might find ourselves at a restaurant called the Old Spaghetti Factory. Don't let the name fool you, they have other Italian dishes on the menu as well. This place was a tradition for most, I would say especially in Seattle after walking the pier all day or visiting Pike Place Market since it was down by the waterfront. I say was because it's no longer there. Why it's not I'll never know, I figured it was busy enough but, alas, here we are.
They still have other locations to visit including one in Spokane. We happen to be there this past weekend and it was such a blast from the past. I could have taken a lot more photos including the lush lobby area with full couches and chandelier but I'll just focus on the main reason we went -- the food.
Though it was also fun to see they had a hollowed-out trolley you could also eat inside. Great place to have a table, especially when you have kids with you.
The sign outside.
The menu.
My son ordered a Cotton Candy soda with literal cotton candy on the straw as it was served.
Soup or salad? Me? I'm ordering the soup 100% of the time.
They include a loaf of sourdough bread for the table but we also ordered this order of cheese bread.
I opted for the lobster and crab ravioli. I know, I'm super fancy. (it was fantastic, though!)
My oldest ordered the spaghetti with a little of everything. Great choice.
Here's that trolley car you can eat inside.
At the end, as tradition, you can have a scoop of spumoni which is chocolate, pistachio, and cherry ice cream. They also have vanilla if you're not as adventurous.
Next time you're in Spokane or anywhere they have an Old Spaghetti Factory, I'd suggest stopping by. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
