The good people at OREO have a new flavor that seems to be inspired by the springtime breeze in Japan.

OREO Cherry Blossom Matcha. A combination of the sweet and floral flavor of cherry blossoms with the smooth and earthy notes of matcha. I'm curious enough to want to try these.

And I love the fact that these are the OREO Thin variety. I love the thins.

The interesting thing about these OREO cookies is that they're not found on store shelves or even online. The only way you can find these in your snack pantry (snacktry?) is by winning them from their website.

Only 1,000 of these are being made here in the United States so good luck! I hope you win.

No word on if they'll be available everywhere afterwards or if they're running these as a trial to see if there's interest to, in turn, bring them out on a national level so you can find in stores. That, I'm not sure.

I can't imagine the OREO company going through the effort to make something like this just to write it off as a giveaway.

But, either way, OERO always has something up their sleeve and always has fun, new flavors to add to their selection every year. Always fun to see what they'll come up with next.
