Poll Settles It: In Yakima, We Pronounce Apricot APE-ricot

When I was a kid, there was always someone who didn't agree in the way things were said. PotATOE or POTATUTO. TamATOE or TAMAATOE? It is the same with Apricot. I think that when you say Apricot like APERICOT a person sounds like the should be a royal or something. That is not how I say it. I say it APPRICOT, which is the right way. However, we did a poll most recently and people decided the other way.Our results are clear, but I still disagree.

One thing is for sure, I love that fruit!
