The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Yakima Closing in November
Another staple location for the Yakima Valley is, soon, coming to an end.
Word started going around that The Salvation Army thrift shop will be closing.
Reports are saying it's slated to close November 15.
Until then, to help clear out inventory, all items are 50% off.

Reports were saying The Salvation Army was planning on closing over 400 thrift store locations earlier this year.
Still plenty of reason to visit with a lot of clothing, jewelry, appliances, and so much more on the shelves until then.
From what I understand, just the thrift store portion of The Salvation Army is closing. The Salvation Army will still be offering services like their food bank. I'm not sure of the location.
I have a lot of fond memories of visiting The Salvation Army dating back to me growing up in town in the early '80s as they had toys on the shelf, video games in the case, and I never knew what I'd find in visiting.
The staff was always so nice and welcoming as well. One of my last visits to The Salvation Army I brought my kids with me since we were in the area. They were shocked that they carried overstock of Monster Energy drinks which they enjoy at a fraction of the price you'd find them at any local store. We bought several and donated many to their friends as well.
In the meantime, show your support and swing by The Salvation Army while you can.
