If you are bothered by the smokey air you probably aren't thinking of doing much this Sunday. Many people are staying inside and away from this unhealthy air. However things are expected to improve soon. The smokey conditions are the result of the many fires burning throughout the west including in the state of nearby Oregon. Officials with the Evans Canyon Fire say much of the fire is now doused and under control and aren't contributing much to smokey weekend conditions.
The Valley hasn't enjoyed much healthy air lately. The air quality remains unhealthy Sunday. Forecasters say the air could improve by Tuesday.
If you have breathing problems you are urged to stay inside or wear a mask outside the shield your lungs from the smoke.
Conditions aren't much better in the mountains as you can see in our pictures from White Pass on Sunday.
