Be careful as you're heading home this afternoon. The National Weather Service reports that wind speeds will crank up to "between 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, Thursday. The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m" Areas that can expect these winds are: the East Columbia River Gorge, Arlington, The Dalles, White Salmon, Naches, Sunnyside, Toppenish, Yakima, Goldendale and Bickleton.

If you were planning to head out of town today with the family maybe to do a little camping. Don't take that mobile-home. According to KIMA, the Washington State Department of Transportation is warning drivers, you "are prohibited from traveling in mobile homes on I-82 from Prosser (milepost 82) to the Oregon State Line (milepost 132)."

So when will it get lifted? They're going to wait until conditions improve, but until then you want to be extra careful. Wind speeds of 35 miles per hour can begin to affect your driving. Be safe!
