It's time once again for us to shed some of our cold winter doldrums and embrace a little pre-spring cleaning! I'm not talking about clearing out the garage, or that storage closet, or even the dark and dreary basement -- what's down there anyway?! I'm talking about clearing out one of the most cluttered zones of our existence in the twenty-first century: the collection of photos in our phones!

This exercise requires honesty and a willingness to not become a digital hoarder of images. I'll go first, if it will help, in exposing some of the needless images I have currently stored in my iPhone, and therefore, 'the cloud'.

So, full disclosure, I have 1,729 pictures currently on my iPhone 12. Many, of course, have transferred from phone to phone over the past few years as I upgrade phones, which means most are on 'the cloud'. I don't even really know what the cloud is, I just accept that 'it is'. Let's take a look at some recent snapshots into my world and decide if I really need to hang onto them.

Is it weird to take a picture of beer? I mean, I've actually taken some time to position some cans in a semi-decorative manner. This is a cluster of an assortment of Bale Breaker Beer. I don't remember why, but this was on my iPhone.

Even weirder, I took a picture of this bottle of Habanero Sauce. Actually, it was for an article I wrote to share a recipe for some Super Bowl snacks.

Here's a picture of a fire in my outdoor fireplace and a tasty Camacho cigar. Not sure why I took it but, there it is.

Here's a picture of my dog. He's pretending to be asleep so I won't ask him to pick up his toys.

Recognize this area? If you've ever stopped at the restroom on Snoqualmie Pass you've been here. Now, walls of snow surround the place.
