A recent study has shown that chasing a hangover with more alcohol is the worst thing you could do. I have been wrong my whole life. When I have had hangovers, I  always drank a bloody Mary to chase it away. I thought it worked. Hours later, though, when I was not drinking anymore, I DID still feel kind of bad.

Did today's Seahawks game, a 25-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints with many questionable calls by the referees, drive you to drink? Or were you already going to down a few beers anyways? Either way, you're not alone.

Just like the limerick 'Whisky In A Jar'o', Some things about St. Patrick's day are unclear of it is origin.  We do know that he was British and he was kidnapped by the Irish forced to work as a slave. That is kind of a sad story considering it shaped Ireland's national holiday!

It is going to be another hot one in Central Washington -- maybe 100 degrees. And the perfect food for a day this hot is watermelon! So maybe it's no coincidence that Aug. 3 happens to be National Watermelon Day. Either way, I have a few watermelon recipes that'll be perfect -- no matter how you slice it.

April 7 is the day we celebrate National Beer Day and I am happy for that.  Beer is the most consumed alcoholic beverage in the world besides tea and water.

I love to experiment with everything. Mostly different kinds of food and alcohol. Some twenty years ago I used to bar-tend at a 'Biker Exotic Dancer' bar and the guys were always asking me "West, make something up." So I did.

I haven't had a drink since I started my health journey in February with my trainer Tanner and the Yakima Athletic Club. I promised Tanner that I would not drink, unless I got his permission. So far I have kept my promise. It really hasn't been that hard not to drink...

Finland may have the right idea when it come to scary PSAs. Sure, our PSAs feature real-life victims or using fried eggs to symbolize drugs frying our brain but this PSA out of Finland uses some of the creepiest images you could imagine for a child.

Now very once in awhile during the Holidays the spirit of giving kinda takes a strange turn. Now, with the streets becoming more busy with more traffic during this season.
