When I was a kid I played with Tonka trucks. If Dozer Day was around then I would have been in heaven! It wasn't around in 1969, but it's here now, back at State Fair Park this Saturday and Sunday (March 19-20). It's an annual event full of family fun sponsored by the Central Washington Home Builders Association that "puts kids – actually on and operating -- dump trucks, dozers and excavators

Well, there is only a few more days left until Christmas! The childlike spirit can be seen in the eyes of both the young and old alike around the world.

Growing up in the Lower Valley and having friends that their mothers would make Homemade Tamales was always a big treat! When I was working in the Hop harvest, some of the ladies would take orders from us guys working on the night shift for their Tamales. (they made a killing on me!) I am getting that craving again, and just in time for this weekend!

Yep this week, you will start your weekend early. “Why is that?” you ask. It’s because the Yakima Valley Fair and Rodeo in Grandview gets under way  Wednesday and goes  through Saturday.

This is the weekend I look forward to so I can spend time with my Dad and talk about cars from the past, what a person did to their classic car to make them more than cool! If you love cool classic cars in all shapes and sizes, You will love what is going on this weekend the Annual Vintiques Car Show takes place Friday and Saturday at State Fair Park.

How exciting is it when yours and mine Super Heros show up on the Big Screen! I have been in seventh heaven lately and now there is even more to get excited about.
