Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross says his office sent out nearly 45,000 ballots but only 12,500 ballots or 29% were returned on election day.

22% of the ballots were counted Tuesday, when the election counting is finished Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross expects a 34% turnout.
