The council held a study session Tuesday looking for answers to the high cost of parking in downtown Yakima.

Council member Matt Brown says they're now working with the city human resources office to issue a job description.

Many people who live and work in downtown are looking for answers after the city placed a hold on parking enforcement in the downtown area in December last year.

Last week the council voted 5-2 to remove current City Manager Bob Harrison which is set to leave on February 2.

As the council tries to figure out what to do about paid parking downtown the city has suspended parking enforcement at least until the month of March
