Also on Wednesday, July 6 city crews are upgrading a traffic signal at the intersection of Yakima Avenue and Naches Avenue.

The tree removal project will require closing a section of 5th Avenue Tuesday, July 5th.

The work starts on Monday, April 4 and will require closing South 48th Avenue between Castleview Drive and West Viola Avenue from April 4 through April 22.

If you're commute includes Summitview Avenue you need to know city crews will be working on Summitview between 40th Avenue and 44th Avenue

If your commute takes you down Washington Avenue you might want to avoid a section of the road this week.

The work gets underway at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm Thursday.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
