The Yakima City Council will be taking up the issue of smoking at special events in city parks. Councilperson Sara Bristol who introduced the proposed smoking ban had mainly focused on special events at city parks. The Council will hear from you tonight on the matter in a public hearing at City Hall at 7PM.

This past week at the Yakima City Council meeting, Sara Bristol brought up the idea of banning smoking in city parks. It's an interesting proposition and one I think most families would agree with.
