I grew up in the snow. Ten-foot drifts in Wyoming seemed like no big deal when I was growing up. Now that I live in Yakima, I guess it was a big deal. The snow here really isn't too much. I learned to snowmobile with the best of them, but I could never do what our Joe Parsons can. The kid is amazing. He has just taken two medals in the 2017 Winter X-Games in Aspen, Colo.

Snowmobiles are among the most dangerous vehicles out there, and you can see why in this video shot from the helmet cam of a French adventurer. After losing control of the snowmobile, the man tumbles down the steep incline he was attempting to navigate. Finally, he is able to control his fall in a way that reunites him with his vehicle - although that doesn't make anything any better.
