Yakima Valley bikers' generosity is in high gear for the 40th annual Salvation Army Toy Run, which is this Saturday (Nov. 3) at Safeway, 16th and Lincoln avenues.
Yakima's 2016 Toys For Tots drive with the United States Marine Corps was a huge success. It usually is, however we all helped raise even more toys than ever before to supply even more families with toys. This year we got enough to help out families from the Yakama Nation, Wapato, Sunnyside and more over 1,000 families in Yakima!
Doesn't matter if "ho-ho-ho" or "ooh-rah" gets you rolling, this Saturday (Dec. 10) is the day to answer the call for Christmas during the Give a Toy, Get a Ticket Event.
Local employees in Union Gap are planning a Toys For Tots fundraiser for Tuesday, December 6th. Today from 4pm to 10pm, patrons who bring in a new unwrapped toy will receive 20% off entire guest check ( exclude alcohol purchases and sales tax)...
Thursday morning here at Townsquare Media, the United States Marine Corps will be here from 7-10 a.m. as part of the Toys for Tots program. They're collecting new, unwrapped toys and distributing them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our community...
Sunday's (Nov. 6) bike run that kicked off the valley's Toys for Tots 2016 campaign at the Salvation Army was a complete success. We had so many bikes there! People even came in vehicles to make sure that the United States Marine Corps got toys for the kids.
What a fantastic day it was for the United States Marine Corps, Toys R Us and all the kiddos who stopped by to check out the military vehicles and equipment. People came in droves to donate new, unwrapped toys as Toys For Tots kicked off this year's campaign.
The Marines are landing!
That is, they're launching their annual Toys for Tots campaign this Saturday (Nov. 5) at the Union Gap Toys R Us, 1401 E. Washington Ave.
Whoa! Christmas is already on the way! Which means our local Marines are already gearing up for the 100th year of Toys for Tots. We need to help by stocking them up with lots of brand-new toys for needy children in our area.
Our first chance is at this weekend's annual bike run in Yakima.
