The Central Washington State Fair Is A Go…For Now!

The Corona virus has a long list of victims.  Human life and suffering, jobs, careers, economic opportunity, activities and events.  So there is a battle to return to normalcy on all those fronts.

Vaccines are helping to lower the death rate and hospitalizations but there is still the challenge in all those other areas as to how close to normal can we get without causing a spike in infections and a return to restrictions.

That's the task before President and C.E.O. of the Central Washington State Fair (CWSF) Kathy Kramer.

When the pandemic cancelled the fair Kramer and company can up with a drive thru for fair food idea the proved very successful.  Building on that, the fair folks also staged a drive thru Christmas lights celebration that was also quite popular.

So what happens next?  What about 2021?  Will we back at the fair in the fall in person?  Kramer says that's the plan...for now!  As they say in the country "if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise" there will be an in-person fair starting on September 24th.  Kramer says the usual ticket sale promotion is coming up and it's better than ever with tickets for the full run of the fair selling for just 27 dollars.  She also says that the fair food drive thru was such a success that fair food drive thru two point oh will be held later this Spring in the month of May.

Kramer says the State Fair may have a few other tricks up their sleeves too!
