The Voice season 16 Battle Rounds continue this week, with Monday (Apr. 8) ushering in yet another round of the coaches pitting their team members against each other in epic duets—and training them with the help of celebrity advisors.

Team Blake Shelton enlisted Brooks & Dunn to help groom the hopefuls. This evening started out country strong with a pairing between Shelton's team members Hannah Kay and Andrew Sevener.

Kay, a small-town girl from Magnolia, Texas who has been watching the show since she "was a kid," had no bones about letting Shelton know just how she feels. "I had a crush on you since I was 6," she enthused. "Even when you had the mullet going on.

"Mullets work," observed Shelton. Meanwhile, advisor Kix Brooks snorted, "She said she's got a crush on Blake, so she obviously has some personal problems, as well."

Sevener, who's also from Texas, didn't have the same exact story. He related instead that "Back home, I was waking up every morning, working on motor homes, and then pretty much getting off work and going out to a gig, staying out till 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning. I come from a family of musicians, so it is surreal to be on The Voice."

Shelton assigned the pair "Tequila" by Dan + Shay, explaining, "Tt is not in their wheelhouse whatsoever. But I want to hear them sing something that's out right now, because there's no way to get better unless you challenge yourself."

The two put their muscles to work. both clad in western hats. In the end, Shelton had yet another one of his famed "tough decisions" to make, but ended up choosing Sevener. Kay was not stolen, so she unfortunately had to go home.
