
Thermos Recalls Millions Of Bottles Over Serious Safety Risks
Thermos is recalling 8.2 million products of a few varieties of Thermos products. They have received numerous reports of impact injuries and lacerations from using these products.

Thermos Recall in WA
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has released a statement calling for the recall of a few different types of products from the Thermos company that may cause injury including impact injury and lacerations.
These are the items being recalled:
- Thermos Stainless King 3000
- 3020 Food Jars
- Thermos Sportsman 3010 Food & Beverage Bottles
If you have these, they're being recalled and you can either return or contact Thermos to receive a replacement part needed that would prevent injury from happening.

From the CPSC:
Hazard: If perishable food or beverages are stored in the container for an extended period of time, the stopper can forcefully eject when opened, which can result in serious impact injury and laceration hazards to the consumer.
Reported Injuries from these Thermos items
so far, 27 reports have come through that the stopper forcefully ejected after they were opened which included being hit by them or even getting a cut from them. Three reportedly suffered permanent vision loss after it hit them in the eye.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled Food Jars and Bottles immediately and contact Thermos to receive a free replacement pressure relief stopper or replacement Bottle, depending on the model. For recalled 3000 and 3020 Food Jars, consumers will be asked to throw away the stopper and send a photo of the disposed stopper to Thermos. For recalled 3010 Bottles, consumers will be asked to return their recalled Bottle to Thermos using a prepaid shipping label.

These Thermos items are found all over Washington State as well as anywhere in the United States including Walmart and Target. You may have ordered these online as well direct through Thermos or even through Amazon.
This recall is for any of those 3 products above that would have been purchased between March 2008 - July 2024.
