Thousands of people enjoyed the 20th annual Christmas light Parade 2019 in Yakima Sunday night.  The parade started at 6th Avenue and Yakima Avenue and ended at the Millennium Plaza where everyone enjoyed the lighting the Community Christmas Tree. Unlike 2018 the weather this year was tolerable and allowed a lot more people to attend the event.
Free horse drawn wagon rides are offered the next two Saturday's in downtown Yakima. The rides start and end at the community Christmas tree at Millennium Plaza and are offered every 20 to 25 minutes. The rides are from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. each of the next two Saturdays; December 14, and 21.

More than 50 entries were a part of the parade as each vehicle and even dogs were covered with colored lights. Companies from throughout the valley were involved from Coca Cola to Burrows Tractor and many others. Some make the event an annual tradition complete with tailgating that included food and drinks.
