Toy Drop Drive This Sunday, November 8th for Yakima Valley Youth
Covid-19's not taking away the toys so The Caring Community of Yakima presents this ride or drive Toy Drop off for the entire valley to participate in! All your unwrapped toys and cash donations will be benefitting Toys For Tots, the YWCA as well as The Salvation Army.
Normally there are few motorcycle rides to literally drive the toys in but this year things are going to be combined. So this Sunday, November 8th, we ride!
Bring out all the stops, the bells, and whistles, looking all shiny and bright for a great cause, the Yakima Valley's kids from the chubby-cheeked babies through the 17-year-olds acting like they are too old for this stuff but secretly loving every minute of it, even the Mom's that are just trying to make it through the day.
Sunday, November 8th between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm it's your chance to give back by riding or driving to drop off your cash donation or unwrapped toys for any age up to 17 years to the Yakima Cinema Parking Lot located at 1305 North 16th Ave.
Every year the list grows for parents who are in need of assistance, feeling the pressures of making their child's holiday feel special. I know it's not about the gifts but when you don't have much, anything helps and when you are struggling to choose between bills, food and presents having these services is a lifesaver.
There's absolutely no shame in reaching out and adding your name to the list or creating a new tradition of giving back during this time for the whole family to partake in.
If you are unable to make it on Sunday there is are permanent drop-off locations at
- Owen's Cycle, located at 1707 N 1st St, Yakima, WA 98901 through December 14th. Owen's is open Tuesday through Friday 9 am - 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am - 4 pm
- FACT located at 10 North 10th Ave Monday-Friday 8 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5 pm Saturdays 8 am - 1 pm.
