Everyone just has those friends who want to try everything.

Everything on everyone's plate.

They always want to try the new restaurants or order a couple of dishes so they can try a little of this and a little of that.

Or maybe you are that person. If you are, good on ya. You must be the foodie in your circle of friends.

With summer fast approaching, it's probably the best season for foodies.

If you find yourself in Washington State, as it turns out, you're in a great place as WA ranked in the top 10 for best states for foodies. And no reason why not.

According to BetCarolina.com Washington State ranked #6 for best state for foodies.

These were found based on number of best food cities, average cost at the restaurants, how many James Beard 2024 nominations that state has, and local farms and farmers markets.

Washington came in 6th place. Not bad.

First went to New York, followed by California, Illinois, Oregon, and Texas rounding out the top 5.

Every state has foods people may know them for like New York has pizza and bagels, but they also have specific items like riggies in upstate New York. Or if you find yourself in Rochester, the local favorite may be tomato pie or a garbage plate.

Then California has a bit of a lot.

Illinois has their Chicago-style pizza but they also are known for their hot dogs.

Oregon has all those amazing food trucks that people keep hyping them up.

Texas? Well, you can never go wrong with BBQ.

Washington State with all its fresh agriculture and prime seafood, there's no reason why people love to visit WA every year and go on a food tour. It's encouraged.
