According to a new study, when you wake up to MUSIC instead of an alarm, it can get you out of bed faster, and help you feel less sluggish and more alert. The researchers believe it's because the melodies do a better job than an alarm sound at holding your attention, which helps your brain get going.

I will DEFINITELY be trying this and will report back.  I've been doing morning radio for over 10 years now, and not once have I thought to wake up to music rather than an alarm. I feel like it would take me longer to get out of bed with music as it's not a startling "get out of bed now" sound. Worth a shot!
