Will Yakima Have a ‘White Christmas’ in 2025?
While other parts of the United States are getting snow on the ground, especially in the northern Midwest area, as while Washington State has been a little warmer than usual with the flooding and all, a question you may have is wondering if we'll get any snow before Christmas and, if we do, will it stick long enough to have a white Christmas.
Here's what we know.

Between now and Christmas, it doesn't look like we're going to have a lot of snow.
Most days between now and Christmas show temperatures in the 40s.
There are a few days where temperatures may be in the upper 30s including this weekend where there's a chance of snow on Sunday morning on December 21, but it's just that, a chance.
Even still with that chance of snow, we may see the snow in the sky, but it'll most likely melt soon as it hits the ground. Might get a small dusting in shade areas where the sun won't hit if we have our usual partly cloudy skies that we have this time of year. We'll see.
Either way, all in all, it's very unlikely we'll have a white Christmas this year.
It's been several years, it seems, since we had our last white Christmas and even more years before that where we had a thick blanket of snow on Christmas morning. It's something I wish everyone could experience at least once.
But then, the next day, all the snow has to migrate back to White Pass.
