With the nation and world grinding to a halt amid the uncertainty of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), myriad speculation on social media and traditional media outlets might have you confused or wondering just what exactly is going on.

We have found a couple of websites that are tracking confirmed cases of the disease as well as deaths in real time, both worldwide and in the United States, using data from credible sources.

If you want to cut through some of the clutter online, you might want to check out these sites to stay abreast of the pandemic.

The first site is culling data on global cases by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

The second site focuses solely on North America but specifically lists each case by county in chronological order as they have been revealed.
