What Reddit Thinks Makes a Good Gift if You’re From Yakima
Christmas is fast approaching and if you're giving gifts to someone out of the region but still want to represent some of the best we have here in the valley, what would make a great gift?
I went to Reddit to ask their opinion on what may make a great gift if you're from Yakima.
I went with Reddit because if anyone had an opinion on anything, it would be Reddit.
Here's what I got.
- Boxes of apples (of course).
- Beer brewed in the Yakima Valley
- Wine from the Yakima Valley
- Cider from (you guessed it) the Yakima Valley.
- a Palm Springs of Washington t-shirt from I Heart Yakima.
- Something from Yakima Valley Hops.
- Anything from Yakama Nation Cultural Center in Toppenish.
- Chuckar Cherries from Prosser.
There are several other options for local items like Deccio Seasoning and so much more. A lot of local crafters making a lot of local items.
There are a few stores in town that carry a variety. Yakima Ship Shop off 40th and Summitview has a large selection of items from local crafters from ice cream to cookies to freeze-dried candy to soap to sauces to seasonings and just about all points in between.
When in doubt, swing by Yakima Ship Shop to see what they have as you're sure to find something you've never noticed before.
