I find myself inside Wray's just about every day. I'm not even making that up.

The Wray's on 56th and Summitview is the place I pop in to drop off some packages, get my car tabs, grab some fried chicken, pick up prescription and do my grocery shopping all in one spot.

Wray's also has some unique items on their shelves.

Items that many stores may not carry.

Items At Wray's You Probably Didn't Know They Carry

Here are just a few things you'll find at Wray's that you may not find in other stores.

Wray's carries a variety of mushrooms. If you're looking to explore beyond the ones most use check out the mushrooms at Wray's. Maybe you'll find a new favorite.

Local + Import Beer

Along with an impressive wine and spirits selection, Wray's has one of the best beer selections in town. Probably the best. There's a huge emphasis on local beer from our local and regional breweries but they also carry imported beer as well if you're curious to see what they're drinking elsewhere.

Regional Milk

There's nothing wrong with grabbing milk from the usual distributors but it's nice to see that Wray's carries milk from other dairies in the area as well. Not just basic milk but also chocolate milk and sometimes strawberry milk as well. Always fun to try.

Inexpensive Bacon

Bacon is a universal love to many. Great by itself or, when added into a soup or sandwich, it makes it even better. Wray's cuts their own bacon cutting out the middle man. In this photo they even had jalapeno bacon to give that extra kick. Sometimes they'll sell 'bacon ends' which are the mostly fat part of bacon for super-cheap. Great to use when adding to something like clam chowder or a pasta. I look out for it every-so-often.

Duck Fat

I was surprised to see this. I watch a lot of European cooking shows on YouTube and so often do they use duck fat in their cooking. Yes, we can still use butter or oil but they say duck fat is best. Glad they have this available.

Pre-cooked Brisket

How convenient! I noticed this for the first time a couple of months ago and I guess it's a hit as they keep selling more. They sell pre-cooked brisket that all you have to do is heat and eat. I love it.

Apple Fritters

Okay, this isn't a huge deal as most stores with a bakery will sell apple fritters, but look at the size of these! They're amazing.
