Yakima Might Soon Welcome Its First Burgerville
After the Sonic on 1st and Nob Hill closed, there have been talks around Yakima of what should go there. Plenty of people would love a Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's was rumored for quite a while as well.
For the past couple of years, that Sonic was closed, although the building is still there.
There are rumors with a few factoids that point to that spot on Yakima's most popular intersection could be home to Yakima's first Burgerville restaurant.
Why Burgerville?
Burgerville is a burger place with a few locations in the Northwest including these fine cities.
There are many other locations as well.
No Burgerville Locations in Eastern Washington... yet.
That might change soon if the rumors are true.
The Yakima Valley Business Times reported the City of Yakima have received permits to approve the alteration of the old Sonic location on the corner of 1st and Nob Hill.
The article points out that the permits didn't have a specific name, but in Oregon they have converted two former Sonic restaurants into a Burgerville.

Will Yakima be next on that list?
Burgerville was hoping to expand into opening more restaurants in the Northwest and Yakima would be a prime location for a new restaurant.
As of this time, it's just that. A rumor.
As soon as we know more, we'll let you know. I know Yakima has plenty of great burger places already, but Burgerville could do very well in Yakima.
