Yakima Finally Has a Big Variety of Food Delivery Service Options

I know I am not the only one who has wished that every restaurant in the Yakima area had a food delivery service.

Enter modern-day food delivery services stage left.

I remember when I first heard of Uber Eats. I was in Seattle visiting a friend (who couldn't drive) and I needed a ride to a concert across town but bemoaned the lack of quick transportation there.

"Just take an Uber," my friend Heather said.

"Just take a WHAT?" I replied.

I took an Uber to the concert and couldn't believe how quick and inexpensive it was compared to taking a taxi or city bus.

That was a few years ago, and my, how times have changed.

When Uber and later Uber Eats came to Yakima, I was so stoked. I think my first food delivery order from Uber Eats was a butter chicken dish from Taj Palace. I couldn't believe that my wildest dreams were coming true-that I was FINALLY able to order something other than Domino's or Pizza Hut pizza and Greek food from Kabob House delivered to me in Yakima.

Fast forward a few years later and here we are with a variety of food delivery options, like Door Dash, Insta Cart, Grub Hub, Uber Eats, and Postmates. It's a great day to be alive!
