Yakima Will Have 100 Degree Days, then Cool Dramatically
Well, just when I thought the last of the 100 degree days were behind us, we get another heatwave.

Fortunately, this heatwave should blow over in a few days and, with probably some winds as well, the temps should drop significantly afterwards.
Looking at the weather in Yakima, Wednesday and Thursday, September 3rd and 4th, we should have temperatures back into the 100 degree area.

Then on Friday it should drop a little, but still temps in the high 90s. Still, not quite 100 degrees, but still pretty hot.
After this weekend, it should start to get those early stages of fall.
We'll soon have temperatures in the lower 80s to upper 70s for a high.
Though not exactly pants and jacket weather, just yet, but you may start to want to feel those temperatures that are inviting to start wearing layers.

Especially if there's wind involved.
When temperatures drop this significantly, it's often along with wind, too.
I'm no scientist, but if warm air rises and cold air sinks, those warmer and cooler temperatures clash and their air has to move somewhere.
If you were thinking about getting a haircut, it may be a good idea to do that soon. Less hair blowing in your face.
No sign of rain over the next couple of weeks so you shouldn't have to worry about that. After just a couple more days of 100+ temperatures, we should be good with nice weather under partly cloudy skies for a couple of weeks.
A great way to welcome September to the Yakima Valley.
