West Valley High School in Yakima has issued a new senior picture policy and it has students and parents in an uproar.

The new policy, which was voted on by the yearbook class, is to have the high school hire a professional photographer to take all the senior pictures that will appear in the yearbook.

This policy has students and parents in an uproar as the argument is that the school is taking away individuality and "cool" poses, according to rebuttals on the West Valley High School Facebook page.

The argument for the change is that senior photos should be fair, accessible and equitable for all students.

I'm one of those kids who couldn't afford senior portraits, so I didn't submit any picture for the yearbook back in the day. I can see both sides of the argument.

I'd love to know your opinion, though. Take our poll and let us know what you think below. We'll discuss the results on the morning show.
