Why Are There No Yakima Pools to Rent on the SWIMPLY App?
Why are there no Yakima pools to rent on the Swimply app? What is Swimply, you ask?
WHAT IS THE SWIMPLY APP?
The Swimply app lets you "rent" somebody's pool by the hour. Think of it as the Airbnb of pools, except your stay is a heckuva lot shorter. I swear there was a pool available for rent in the Yakima area last month (July) because I went checking out to see if they had any hot tubs I could rent for myself. Sure, I could go to a gym, if only I knew of a local gym whose hot tub is actually OPEN (and secluded from a bunch of kids and other adults). I found a home in Selah that was offering their pool on Swimply but I suppose they grew tired of people using it because it is no longer listed.
HOW TO USE THE SWIMPLY APP
If you go to swimply.com you will be greeted with a sign that says, "Escape locally." Nice try, Swimply, there are NO freaking pools we can rent locally. The closest we are going to find a private pool to rent is either heading east to the Tri-Cities or west towards Seattle, Burien, and Des Moines.
FUTURE PLANS FOR THE SWIMPLY APP
Future plans for the Swimply app include "basketball courts, private gyms, and even home studios." If you want to list your spaces for rent you can join their waitlist.
HERE ARE 5 SWIMPLY SWIMMING POOLS YOU CAN RENT "NEARBY"
You and 14 of your friends can rent this pool for $75 an hour, with an additional fee if guestlist goes over 10 people. Kids and babies are ok. Bring your own towels and don't you dare bring anything made of glass!
$48 an hour will get you this cute heated pool. It's only available Mondays thru Thursdays, however, so don't think of any fancy plans there for the weekends. You can invite up to 24 friends for a total of 25 folks in the pool. Extra fees apply if guestlist goes over 15 people. Diving board, picnic table, and shaded areas available on this property. I am in LOVE!
Comes with a pool and a hot tub for $75 an hour. Your pool party can have up to 20 guests (extra fees apply for a guestlist over 5 people). Kids and babies okay. The pool is heated, too! The hot tub comes with an extra charge of $20 an hour (booo!).
Hot diggity damn, this pool looks like a fun rental. They will even let you use their barbecue smoker and grill along with their backyard pool. They have a big waterslide attached to the pool, too. A great price of $48 an hour during weekdays. They also have a HOT TUB, wifi, and Bluetooth speakers. $60 per hour on the weekends (Fri-Sun). Some of the amenities listed above come with extra fees (hot tub, firepit, Bluetooth speakers, and the grill). But hey, at least the wifi is free! Don't bring your pets, fyi!
This pool has such a beautiful view that I can't stand it! So gorgeous and $90 an hour. See the Puget Sound's Olympic Mountains in the distance while enjoying their inground pool or their hot tub (extra fees apply for the hot tub). You can also rent their fire pit if you want some S'mores or barbecue foods but you'll have to "bring your own wood or Duraflame."
