Yakima Valley College hosts FAFSA Workshops
If your student is heading off to college in the fall and looking to use resources like financial aid, they should check out these FREE workshops.
Yakima Valley Community College is hosting FAFSA workshops today and throughout the month of January. Here's a list of where and when these workshops will be held:
Yakima Campus: S. 16th Avenue & Nob Hill Blvd, Yakima, WA 98902
Wednesday, January 18, 2017, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, and Wednesday, March 1, 2017
Deccio Higher Education Center, Building 8, Room 236
2:00pm, 4:00pm, and 6:00pm
Grandview Campus: 500 West Main Street, Grandview, WA 98930
Friday, January 27, 2017, Friday February 17, 2017 and Friday, March 3, 2017
Grandview Main, Building 56, Room 135
10:00am and 12:00pm
When you head to the workshops make sure to bring the following items:
STUDENTS
- Your Social Security number and/or card (if applicable)
- Your DACA work authorization number and/or card (if applicable)
- Your driver’s license or state identification card (if applicable)
- If you were born after December 31, 1992 bring parent(s) and their 2015 income data (W-2’s or year-end pay stub and/or 2015 tax return) or, if taxes have not yet be filed, 2015 year-end earnings information and a copy of the 2015 tax return.
- If you were born before January 1993, are married, have dependents you support or are active in or a veteran of the U.S. armed services, bring your 2015 year-end income information or your 2015 year-to-date income information and a copy of your 2013 tax form.
- A valid email address for verification of pin
PARENTS
- Your Social Security number and/or card and date of birth (if applicable)
- Parent income tax return for 2015. If this is not available, students and families can estimate the information using 2015 year-to-day income information and a copy of the 2015 tax form and make corrections to the FAFSA at a later time
- A valid email address for verification of pin
