The iconic musical, Phantom of the Opera, is coming to Yakima and you have a chance to be a part of it.

This joint production of Phantom of the Opera by Yakima Valley College and Warehouse Theatre is looking for students between 8th grade upto 19-years-old to audition and be a part of this musical.

This show is set to be live on stage this summer.

The auditions will happen Sunday, February 9th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Warehouse Theatre at 1610 S. 24th (next to Yakima Athletic Club, next to the cemetery).

In being part of this production, you'll get first-hand experience of what it's like to be in a full-stage production including 3 weeks of intense rehearsals.

If you'd like to audition, have a 1-2 minute vocal piece ready as well as instrumental backing as they're not allowing acapella. You may have to be ready for dance rehearsal as well as sight singing.

If you're not in Yakima you're allowed to submit video of 2 song selections that showcase your vocal abilities.

If selected, intensive rehearsals start in July with the show happening in August.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your musical kids to be a part of other productions working other other students they may not necessarily be familiar with, yet. And it's a great way to keep them active during the summer when school is out.

You can get more info and RSVP for auditions via Facebook.

It's bound to be a great time.
