Yakima is definitely a car town. It’s the home of numerous car club members and collectors. And many of them will be headed to Tacoma this weekend.

The Yakima Valley has had a love affair with the automobile since Val Gandy owned North Yakima’s first car in the early 20th century. Located near the Tacoma Dome, The LeMay will host a collection of largely American classics with a few rare foreign models. Here’s one of the rarest autos of all, a 1948 Tucker.
