It was the third Indy 500 win for Franchitti, making him one of 10 drivers to win the race three or more times. Piloting his red No. 50 Target-sponsored car, Franchitti won despite starting 16th.

The NFL suspended four players on Wednesday for their involvement in the New Orleans Saints’ bounty system that encouraged players to injure opponents for financial rewards.
New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton Suspended One Year By NFL
The NFL has suspended New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Payton for one year as punishment for the team’s admitted use of a bounty system from 2009 to 2011. Payton was aware of the system, which compensated players for hits inflicted on opponents.
Payton’s suspension is slated to begin April 1.
