Color The Way 5K is going down Sunday, May 4, at Sarg Hubbard Park. If you missed the run last year, you were missing out on all kinds of fun. This year the Yakima Greenway has promised a better and better event that stars Ali Vincent from "The Biggest Loser." Space is limited and the cost is $30 per person or $25 per team member with two or more members. Log onto the www.greenway.org or call 509-453-8280 to get more information.
Having worked at 92.9 The Bull for the past 13 years I have had the opportunity to be involved in some pretty amazing things. I've been able to visit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis to see firsthand the life-saving work they do
Do you ever like to treat yourself every once in a while? I do espeically when I'm out of town and couldn't get the treat in Yakima if I wanted to.
I've always been a fan of crepes, I usually eat them with some sort of fruit and whip cream for breakfast. They mix things up a little and offer a different texture than a pancake or toast. Now, imagine having one that tasted so good you might oder them everyday if you could.
There's really no other way to describe George Strait -- he is country music. He is a true-blue cowboy, too. He has a style and swagger all his own, a confident yet humble man who's ready to ride away from touring the world.
Nothing is better than spending time with a child who wasn't even supposed to make it. We here at the Bull got to meet Sam for the first time and we can't wait to share his story to help his family give back to Yakima’s Children's Village -- a place that gave them so much. Check it out!
Bring a huge WWE fan it was like reliving my childhood watching the Ulitmate Warrior take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame. This was the first time Ultimate Warrior had been back to WWE since he left the company in 1996. Triple H should be given credit for bringing Warrior back to WWE. The fact that just one day after he had returned to Monday Night RAW to deliver the speech below is absolutely crazy.
Lately I've been thinking about value. The value of the things we use to get through this life comfortably. Our personal value to our family and friends and even our employers. You have to put a value on yourself and then you need to live up to that standard.
This Friday at noon, Rik and I are going to attempt to 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.' We are raising money and awareness in an effort to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. We as men need to take an active role and try to better understand some of the major issues that affect our society. I will also deliver a short speech on the importance of this matter.
Comic book heroes are dominating movie box offices this year. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” released this past weekend to huge numbers and took the top spot at the movies. “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” comes out May 2 and is expected to be a huge box office success as well.
Our very own Rik Mikals is a huge comic book and superhero nut, too. Rik even wrote a stellar review of the new “Captain America” film, which you can read here. But he’s not the only fan of superheroes -- count in Chris Young as well.
